For scanners or radios that have a female SMA connector. This listing is for ONE adapter and stainless steel shim (the "GOOD" one!) This adapter is an SMA-male to BNC-female, Silver color, the shim is stainless steel. Why don't I sell the similar looking "gold" color one? I have seen the gold color cheap plating flake off and short out the connector!
Why risk damage to your expensive scanner or radio's antenna connector? See picture 3 for "the other guys" adapter. See how it is not supported and can easily break off your scanner or radios antenna connector when you drop the radio or even while it is on your belt or simply falls over when standing on your desk? Now, look at picture 2 to see how the shoulder supports the connector mechanically for much improved durability.
We also provide a stainless steel shim to work with certain radio's or scanners when the bottom of the connector does not seat on the top of the radio. It is important NOT to drive the center pin into the connector too far, so this connector adapter allows the proper amount of center pin insertion before it stops. In cases where there is a small gap between the connector and the top of the radio, use the shim.
Personally, I use this on my BCD396T, BCD396XT, Yaesu VX-3, VX-5, VX-6, VX-7 and Kenwood TH-F6A, etc. This can be used on any scanner or radio with a SMA-female connector on the radio.
