Stock Refinishing Service, Any And All Types Of Wood Gun Stocks

Check out my recent reviews. Have an old gun or a family gun that has a stock in need of refinishing or repair? This listing is for a refinishing service of your provided wood gunstock. I have done all types, however I usually do USGI and surplus stocks. First I’ll receive your stock. I then go through a citrus based stripping process that not damage any of the wood or grain. After stripping I assess any repairable dents. Those which are able are steamed out. The stock will then dry in a humidity controlled environment until ready. Then comes the fun part, I usually don’t like to sand too heavily with anything but light grit, ending with 3000 to 5000 grit and steel wool. I spend hours hand rubbing multiple coats of tung oil into the stock. Based on the grain, I often add a bit of truoil in the first stages to make any curl stand out and to promote sealing. No machine will touch your stock in any shape or form. Mind you this is not a fast process, usually around a couple week turn around to do it right. Once complete I will ship it straight back to you.
